What is it in your life, you find difficult to forgive yourself for?
Perfection is an unattainable myth. It only brings shame, guilt and fear. We are all human beings we will always make mistakes and mess up. We never intentionally set out to make mistakes, right? So why do we find it so difficult to forgive ourselves?
I mean, I don’t wake up saying “today my plan is to mess up royally.” LOL...
Why is it so difficult for so many of us to forgive ourselves? The happiest people are those who are kind to themselves and who can easily forgive themselves when they mess up. If your plan is to level-up and live a joyful life, you have to know how to genuinely forgive yourself, before you are able move forward in a healthy way. No-one is perfect. Don’t live in self-condemnation. You need to let go of things which does not serve you. It is often easier to forgive others than it is to forgive ourselves. This is a toxic trait to have.
If you find that you are constantly focused on your flaws, I can only imagine the anxiety that comes with that. We will make mistakes over and over again for as long as we live. Mistakes are things which are NOT intentional. So, give yourself a break. Nobody cares as much as you do about your mistake. Just own up, there is so much power in just owning up. Forgive yourself and keep it moving. Life too short and the next mistake is just around the corner.
Free yourself from living in bondage and in the shadows of your past mistakes.
Ain’t nobody got time for that.
